The Singapore Changi Airport ( IATA code : SIN • ICAO code : WSSS ) is located in Singapore (in the city-state of Singapore ). It has three terminals, connected by an underground automatic light and a terminal for certain low-cost airlines.
This airport is equipped to accommodate the Airbus A380 .
Frequently praised by travelers as one of the best airports in the world, Changi has a calm and cozy, the ground being covered with a thick carpet soundproofing colorful. Metro
The airport is accessible via the network Metro Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) : The station Changi Airport Station (CG2) Line East West Line connects the two terminal from the airport to the city (since 8 February 2002). Passengers must make a change of train platform to platform to stop Tanah Merah .

The No. 36 bus connects the airport to downtown in half an hour.

History

We do not find mention of Changi Airport before 1944, when the Japanese built a track close to the prison camp. In fact, it existed in 1942 on the island two or three smaller airports built by the British: Paya Lebar Airport and STD Test especially Kalang airport Tengah , the largest island in the Northwest 1 . The Singapore International Airport was built on the site of POW camp British, Australian and U.S. already called Changi. The camp known to the Japanese Red Cross has operated in 1942 and 1945. We deduce that the airport was Plastic Storage Bins built between 1942 and 1960, when the Singapore authorities have felt the need to provide their city-state of an international airport of reference.
